The Importance of a proper Eye Health Examination.

I CANNOT EXPRESS ENOUGH THE IMPORTANCE OF AN EYE HEALTH EXAMINATION!!!

I wanted to share an article on the importance of eye health examinations. As an Optician, I have heard countless times people complaining about getting their eyes tested "just to get a prescription."
I can assure you, it's so much more than that.

Did you know that most eye health issues are asymtomatic? Meaning you won't know there is a problem until it's possibly a bigger problem!

You've heard that statement that eyes are a window?
Again, very true. I've witnessed a patient learn of a brain tumor, by the EYE EXAM! His life was literally saved that day!

On a personal note, my mom had macular degeneration - an eye disease that would eventually leave her blind. It's hereditary! So, you can bet I'm going to keep getting my eyes examined to help catch the possibility early.
